Gary Samboy

Board President

“I have brought my kids up to learn and live by many ideals, one of which is this thought: there are many people who have more than we do and many more who are in need. It is our responsibility to help those in need in hopes they will learn from our actions, and pay it forward to others in need.” Gary Samboy

Annette Richardson

Board Member

“I was looking to volunteer following retirement, saw Habitat's sign on Main Street, had heard great thing about them. It took a while but I finally signed up and I love it!” Annette Richardson

Adam Blistein

Board Treasurer

“I work for MCHFH because I love the cause. Seeing the improvements in people’s lives due to the many projects that Habitat is involved with is all the thanks I need.” Adam Blistein

Charles McGauchie

Board Member

“I choose to volunteer so I can give back to my community to give a helping hand to so many hardworking ineighbors who are in a tough spot. God calls each of us to help our neighbors and I strive to put His word into action.” Charles McGauchie

Anthony Mullen

Board Member

“Mr. Joseph Luck asked me if I would be interested in joining the Board of Directors for the Monroe County Habitat for Humanity and has told me a lot about all the good work they do and I knew he was the Chairman from our previous discussions. I have always admired the good work that Habitat for Humanity does and first noticed it when President Carter volunteered. Now I have been on the Board awhile I appreciate how much more they do that I did not realize. I am proud to serve my community in this capacity. :-)” Anthony Mullen

Janet Shelton

Board Member

``I wanted to volunteer for an organization which my husband and I have supported financially at the national level for many years. I enjoy serving and working with partner families. There is much to be done in Monroe County, and many need a hand up that H4H can offer. Serving this faith based organization is an honor and a blessing; learning new things keeps my brain active and my spirit humble. Come join us! Your neighbors need you!`` Janet Shelton

Joseph Luck

Board Member (President Emeritus)

“I love to meet and work with people who are dedicated to making our little corner of the world a safer and better place to live. I also love to lend a helping hand to those in need. At Monroe County Habitat for Humanity I get to do both. I look all around me and see a great need in our community and at Habitat we strive to help those who need little help from their neighbors.” Joseph Luck

Susan Watkins

Board Secretary

“A friend of mine asked me to join the advisory committee some years ago, and after volunteering at a job site I was so impressed with the organization, enthusiasm and good work being done in the community that I ended up joining the Board and the PR Committee. Every year at work I put together a team to help with a project, and most of my co-workers get the Habitat ‘bug.’ It’s infectious.” Susan Watkins

Dennis Mooney

Board Member-at-Large

“I have served on charitable boards for the past 30 years. I was invited as a guest to play in The MCHFH golf tournament a number of years ago. As the day progressed I realized this is the group I need to devote my efforts toward their cause. I have been a board member for several years and serve on some committees as well.” Dennis Mooney

Scott Semerod

Board Member

“I choose to volunteer so I can give back to my community to give a helping hand to so many hardworking ineighbors who are in a tough spot. God calls each of us to help our neighbors and I strive to put His word into action.” Scott Semerod

Brian Davis

Board Member

“I’m new to the board and was looking for a way to use my experience and contacts in the construction industry to give back to the community for awhile. Habitat was recommended to me by a business associate and longtime member of the board. I'm learning more and more about all the great things Habitat is doing for our community everyday and can say that i'm proud, and look forward to contributing to such a passionate organization who truly cares about making a difference in our community.” Brian Davis
