Monroe County Habitat for Humanity to Hold Golf Tournament at Buck Hill Falls
Abeloff Donates New Car For Hole in One
Tobyhanna, PA, September 5, 2017 – There’s still time to sign up to sponsor or play in Monroe County Habitat for Humanity’s 21st annual golf tournament and dinner scheduled for Friday, September 29, at the Buck Hill Golf Club. All proceeds will support Habitat’s home preservation projects which allow homeowners affected by low income, age, or disability to make necessary repairs to their homes.
“We’re delighted to invite golfers to play this legendary Donald Ross course,” said Kelly Kemmerer, Habitat’s executive director. “They can enjoy a round of golf in a challenging yet beautiful setting, and know they’re helping Habitat achieve its goal of repairing 30 homes for struggling Monroe County homeowners through our Home Preservation program.
Dennis Mooney, tournament chair, promises an exciting day. The $115 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a buffet dinner, trophies, awards, and prizes- including a Hole in One prize of a new car donated by Jason Motts of Abeloff Buick/GMC in Stroudsburg.
“Sponsors like Abeloff are the key to our success,” Mooney said. “We are extremely grateful to Jason for his continued support, and we encourage other businesses to support this effort, as well. Sponsorships are available for as little as $150, and information about all the sponsorship packages can be obtained by calling the Habitat for Humanity office at 570 216-4390, by emailing email@example.com, or by visiting www.habitatmc.org. You can also register for the golf outing using any of these options,” he said.
“We’re very proud of the fact that this tournament has raised more than $145,000 in the last 20 years, 100% of which directly benefits Monroe County Habitat for Humanity” Mooney said. “Have fun and support a worthy cause at the same time – it’s a win-win for sure.”
