Habitat for Humanity Wants Every Personto Have A Roof Over Their Head so roofs are now 25% more affordable!

January 15, 2018 –Tobyhanna, PA – Monroe County Habitat for Humanity plans to repair 10 roofs this spring, and plans to take 25% off the top of our best estimates on roof repairs! Monroe County Habitat for Humanity offers 3-4-year interest free loans! If your roof suffers from leaks, old shingles or bad gutters, you may qualify for a Home Preservation roof repair, you may qualify! Applications are now being accepted for this project.

According to Habitat’s executive director Kelly Kemmerer, the Home Preservation Program enables Habitat to continue to work toward our purpose of everyone in Monroe County having a safe, decent place to live!

“We can change lives by offering a hand up rather than a hand out,” Kemmerer said. “Our programs are designed to assist homeowners affected by low income, age or disability, make the repairs needed so their homes are safe, secure and healthy. Safe and affordable housing is essential to breaking the poverty cycle,” Kemmerer continued. “Our work is successful when we transform lives and promote sustainable economic and social change in our communities.”
