Monroe County Habitat for Humanity Partners With Street 2 Feet to Provide Supplies for Homeless Day Care Center

Tobyhanna, PA, January 29,2021 -During the month of February, Monroe County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) will partner with Street 2 Feet, the only homeless day care center in Stroudsburg, to collect winter necessities and personal care products for its day care center clients.

“Our Faith Relations Committee connected with Street 2 Feet,” explained MCHFH’s executive director Dr. Kelly Kemmerer, “and we are happy to serve as a collection destination for items that are needed for the health and safety of their clients. This initiative is in line with MCHFH’s vision of every person in Monroe County having a safe, decent place to live.

According to Dr. Kemmerer, new personal care items such as hand soap, hand sanitizer, deodorant, shower gel, lotions, towels, and washcloths are needed, as are winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and socks, and t-shirts. “In addition to these personal items, unopened bottled water, juices, breakfast foods and snacks are also appreciated,” Kemmerer said.

“These items can be dropped off during the month of February at our office at The Mountain Center, 354 Memorial Blvd., Tobyhanna, Dr. Kemmerer said, “or if you’re volunteering at a MCHFH site, you can bring the items there.” For more information, contact Habitat for Humanity at 570 216-4390, or
