Monroe County Habitat for Humanity to Hold Golf Tournament at Great Bear
Tobyhanna, PA, June 2019 – Monroe County Habitat for Humanity will hold its 23st annual golf tournament and dinner on Friday, September 20, at Great Bear Golf Club in East Stroudsburg, PA. All proceeds will support the administration of all of MCHFH’s projects including home preservation which allow homeowners affected by low income, age, or disability to make necessary repairs to their homes.
“We’re delighted to offer golfers the opportunity to play on the only Jack Nicklaus signature golf course in Northeast Pennsylvania,” said Kelly Kemmerer, Habitat’s executive director. “They can enjoy a round of golf in a challenging yet beautiful setting, and know that at the same time they’re helping MCHFH work toward its vision of every person in Monroe County having a safe, decent place to live.
Dennis Mooney, tournament chair, promises an exciting day. “The $115 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a buffet dinner, trophies, awards, and prizes. “All proceeds from the tournament benefit Habitat for Humanity,” he said; “so mark your calendars now to enjoy a day on links knowing you’re supporting a worthy cause. It’s a win-win for sure!”
