Habitat for Humanity Gearing Up for 3rd Annual She Nailed ItCompetition  Teams and Sponsors Can Sign Up Now

Tobyhanna, PA, February 12, 2019– Monroe County Habitat for Humanity will hold its third annual She Nailed It competition on  Sunday, May 19, at 3pm,at Memorytown USA, 432 Grange Road, Mt. Pocono.

Once again teams of five women will go head to head in a nail-biting, nail-hammering competition to see who can hammer the most nails into a 2×4 the fastest and be crowned the 2019 She Nailed It champions.

Last year, ten teams including the reigning 2018 champions from Weiler, the Monroe County Garden Club, Pocono Builder’s Association and Channel 13’s Talk of theTown with Kim and Marie, participated in this friendly but spirited competition to determine who would win the coveted Golden Hammer.

According to Habitat executive director Kelly Kemmerer, proceeds from the event will support Habitat’s mission to provide safe and decent housing for Monroe County citizens adversely affected by low income, old age, or disability.  “Our goal is to complete 30 Home Preservation projects each year,” she said, “and She Nailed It, our primary fundraiser, allows us to accomplish that.”

Teams and sponsors are invited to register for She Nailed It by visiting http://www.habitatmc.org/she-nailed-it-2019/ or contacting Kemmerer directly at ExecDirector@HabitatMC.org.
