Habitat for Humanity Gears Up for 4thAnnual She Nailed ItCompetition Teams and Sponsors Can Sign Up Now

Tobyhanna, PA, February 2020– Monroe County Habitat for Humanity will hold its fourth annual She Nailed It competition on  Sunday, May 17, beginning at 1pm, at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, Shawnee on the Delaware, PA. The family-friendly outing includes entertainment and vendors and culminates in a spirited women’s nailing contest to see which team will take home the Golden Hammer.

Once again teams of four women will go head to head in a nail-biting, nail-hammering competition to see who can hammer the most nails into a 2×4 the fastest and be crowned the 2020She Nailed It champions.

According to Habitat executive director Kelly Kemmerer, businesses, organizations and individuals are invited to create teams. Last year crowd pleasing action was provided by ten teams, including the 2018 and 2019championsfrom Weiler, the Monroe County Garden Club, ESSA Nailers, Community Church’s Hammering Sisters, and Mad Time Fitness. “Weiler has already committed to defending its title,” Kemmerer said, “so the competition promises to be intense.”

This is Habitat for Humanity’s primary fundraiser and proceeds from the event will support its vision of every person in Monroe County having a safe and decent place to live.  “Our goal is to complete 30 Home Preservation projects each year,” Kemmerer said, “and She Nailed Itallows us to administer that.”
