George Roberts Headlines Habitat for Humanity’s Second Annual She Nailed It CompetitionWeiler, Talk of the Town, Pocono Builders Association and Monroe County Garden Club Among 10 Teams

Tobyhanna, PA, June 1, 2018– Monroe County Habitat for Humanity will hold its second annual She Nailed It competition on Sunday, June 24,at 3pm, at Memorytown USA, 432 Grange Road, Mt. Pocono.

Teams of five women will go head to head in a nail-biting, nail-hammering competition to see who can hammer the most nails into a 2×4 the fastest and be crowned the 2018She Nailed It champions.

George Roberts, Senior TV 13 News Anchor and producer of Night Report will be on hand to emcee. “We’re thrilled that George has agreed to lend his time and talents to She Nailed It,” said Habitat’s executive director, Kelly Kemmerer. “His professional expertise and commitment to our community are legendary,” she added, “and his enthusiasm for Habitat is contagious. He’ll bring even more excitement to this fast-paced event.”

More than 10 teams, including ones from Weiler, Pocono Builder’s Association, Channel 13’s Talk of theTown with Kim and Marie, and the 2017 She Nailed It champion, Monroe County Garden Club will participate in this friendly but spirited competition to determine if the happy hammering gardeners can secure their second consecutive title or if a new team will reign. Proceeds from this signature event will support Habitat’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing for deserving families in Monroe County.Admission is free and the public is invited to join the fun and hammer home the cause.
